2016 IUPUI Regatta - Battleship
September 19, 2016Regatta Week – Battleship is a sink-the-canoe event taking place in the Natatorium instructional pool. Teams of 3 compete to sink the other canoes in the water by using buckets and squirt guns. Don’t get too close to the edge of the pool though! The crowd will have buckets to help sink the canoes too! The last team still floating wins!

This will be a double-elimination competition. The competition will be capped at 30 teams. They will be all women’s or all men’s teams (sorry, no co-ed). The competition in the Nat pool will narrow the field down to the 4 best women’s teams and the 4 best men’s teams. These final heats will be run at the Regatta on Saturday, 9/19/2015. They will take place in the start/finish basin and buoys will be used to determine the area the canoes will compete in. There will also be 1 final heat, pitting the 2 best women’s teams and the 2 best men’s teams, to determine an event Grand Champion. Trophies will be distributed during the Regatta closing ceremonies.

All registration monies support the Regatta Scholarship.
